AFropunk Fest BrooklynAFROPUNK returns to Commodore Barry Park in Fort Greene, Brooklyn this summer; now in its 11th year the weekend music festival (August 27th & 28th) is jam packed with live music on three stages, a festival and good summer vibes all around.

Described by The New York Times as “the most multicultural festival in the US;”  this year the line up features headliners such as the newly Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted Ice Cube, Tyler the Creator, Flying Lotus, Janelle Monae, TV on the Radio, The Internet, Parliament/Funkadelic legend George Clinton & more. More than just a weekend in Brooklyn, the AFROPUNK movement expands into international terrain too, experiencing it on its home turf makes AFROPUNK BROOKLYN that much more special.

Come sundown, AFROPUNK BROOKLYN will extend the festival experience and creep into the streets, bars, and restaurants of Myrtle Avenue for AFROPUNK After Dark. Dance to a celebrity DJ set, enjoy pop-up performances, film screenings, art installations, & drink specials. The park might close, but the party keeps going on Myrtle & beyond.
