The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) is inviting food and beverage manufacturers and cafe and kiosk businesses to attend an info session on Wednesday, June 29th at 6pm to learn more about opportunities available at BLDG 77.  This info session will take place at the BNY’s BLDG 92, 63 Flushing Avenue.

Food and beverage manufacturers wishing to learn more about the available 1,300 to 2,100 sf spaces; cafe businesses wishing to learn more about the available 375 to 600sf spaces; and interested kiosk businesses, please RSVP to kbohan@brooklynnavyyard.org to attend the info session.

The BNY released a Request for Expressions of Interest several months ago regarding the 60,000 sf ground floor spaces available in BLDG 77 for use in what will be a new production space and a public food hall, They are steadily attracting new tenants since the release, including NYC favorite Russ & Daughter as the Building 77 ground floor anchor tenant.

Building 77 is a sixteen story, 1940s former warehouse building located along Flushing Avenue at Vanderbilt Avenue in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. BNYDC is investing over $185 million to transition the one million-square-foot building into a vibrant hub for active manufacturing technology and design-based businesses. Beyer Blinder Belle Architects has designed the extensive renovation of the interiors and facade of the uppeer floors of the building. The full renovation of the Yard’s largest building will welcome more than 3,000 workers when completed. Building 77 will become the central point of the Yard and contribute to BNYDC’s mission to create quality jobs for the local community. This project will generate opportunities for existing businesses in the Yard to expand, and also meet strong demand for new businesses to locate within the Yard.

The fence currently separating Building 77 from Flushing Avenue will be removed to create a new public plaza and grand entrance into Building 77 and the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Spaces will be delivered to tenants by early 2017.
