BikeNY and Branch Community Library take over bank parking lots this Sunday

Wed, Oct 7th, 2009

This Sunday, the Citibank and Emigrant bank parking lots at Myrtle and Clinton will be converted to public spaces where families can enjoy physical and educational activities! The Emigrant lot will host BikeNY from 11am-2pm with a free workshop for kids on how to ride a two-wheeler safely. See all the details in the flyer here.

The Branch community library is open every Sunday in October from 1-5pm in the Citibank lot at the corner of Myrtle and Clinton Avenues. Local residents have donated hundreds of books, including all kinds of great children's books, fiction, and nonfiction. Everyone who signs up for a free Branch library card can borrow books for free. All month they'll also be creating a neighborhood memoir made up of your stories: just stop by and write down a memory you have of the neighborhood. For more information, or to volunteer at the library, check out www.branchlibrary.org.
