DESCRIPTION:Join the Fort Greene Park Conservancy\, in collaboration with the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership\, for our first walking tour of the year! Take a walk around the park and learn more about the important role Walt Whitman played in Fort Greene Park’s history and the story behind the Prison Ship Martyrs Monument. Tour is 90 minutes long and takes place in various locations around the park. \nFREE\, registration required. Please register on eventbrite. \nSpecial thank you to tour collaborators American Opera Projects and The Walt Whitman Project. \nThis program is supported\, in part\, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in Partnership with the City Council.

SUMMARY:Fort Greene Fresh Pantry
DESCRIPTION:MARP & City Harvest have joined forces to open the Fort Greene & Farragut Fresh Pantry to help fight food insecurity in our community. The Fresh Pantry will distribute 10\,000 pounds of produce\, FREE of charge\, to residents of Farragut\, Whitman\, and Ingersoll Houses once per month. The Fort Greene & Farragut Fresh Pantry is made possible thanks to a partnership with the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation and Forest City Ratner Companies.
