SUMMARY:Benefit Kitchen Training Session
DESCRIPTION:In 2016\, Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams partnered with Benefit Kitchen\, an application-based screening tool that is used to determine service benefits for residents living in New York\, New Jersey\, and California\, with plans in the works to expand to Texas. \nBenefit Kitchen is a free financial literacy digital platform that connects working families with a path out of poverty. In 10 minutes\, one can learn about their eligibility and estimated dollar amounts for up to 18 federal\, state\, and local benefits. \nTo promote these free services to eligible Brooklynites\, I would like to invite your organization to our Benefit Kitchen training session taking place on Thursday\, February 1\, 2018 at 6:00 PM inside Brooklyn Borough Hall\, located at 209 Joralemon Street\, Brooklyn\, NY 11201. \nKey information will be provided during this Benefit Kitchen demonstration\, which will be helpful to the community you serve. Though the Benefit Kitchen app is simple enough for almost anyone to use\, we ask that you send a tech-savvy member of your organization so that they can train your other members who can then\, in turn\, check for the eligible benefits for those you serve\, to make Brooklyn a place where no one is missing out on benefits they are entitled to. \nYou can visit: https://app.benefitkitchen.com/signup \nto test the application out for yourself. \nTo RSVP for the training\, please click on this link:  https://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/eventReg?oeidk=a07eeydl2dc6783a9e3&oseq=&c=&ch=
