Volunteer with the Fort Greene & Farragut Fresh Pantry

Tue, Aug 20th, 2019

The Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership & City Harvest have partnered to host the monthly Fort Greene & Farragut Fresh Pantry to help fight food insecurity in our community. The Fresh Pantry distributes 13,000 pounds of produce, free of charge, to 200-400 families of Farragut, Whitman, and Ingersoll Houses each month.

The Fort Greene & Farragut Fresh Pantry is made possible thanks to a partnership with City Harvest, The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation, and Farragut, Ingersoll & Whitman Resident Associations.

Volunteers Needed

If you are interested in volunteering at the pantry, please fill out the form below. We ask interested volunteers to read the details about volunteer responsibilities and a general overview of the pantry and to register as an interested volunteer on the following page.

Completing this form does not require you to attend a certain number of pantries or even the next pantry date. We simply invite anyone who’s interested in helping to come when they can.
