DESCRIPTION:The Outer Seed Shadowbox #2 (OSS#02) – a temporary art installation by artist Juanli Carrion – will host a community garden workshop.  Today’s workshop is open to the general public\, for people 21 years or older.  10 spots are available and it’s first come\, first serve. \nOSS$02 is a geopolitical garden in the shape of Brooklyn that features 36 different plants chosen by immigrants living in the borough. Placed according to the interviewees’ physical locations within Brooklyn\, the plants represent the immigrants\, their communities\, and the diversity of the borough. These wood chips are used to nourish trees and plants on streets and gardens citywide. Or\, take home your very own bag of mulch to use in your backyard or to make a winter bed for a street tree . More than 30\,000 trees were recycled last year. Help us top this number!
