501 Myrtle

A rendering of the new building planned at 501 Myrtle Avenue has been posted on the construction fence.  The new project replaces a one-story building which housed Sapolo restaurant at the corner of Myrtle Avenue and Ryerson Street.

In November 2014, property owners filed plans to construct a six story, mixed-use building on the site.  Once completed, the ground floor will house an 1,800 square foot commercial space, with ten apartments spread across the upper-floors.  The building was designed by Raymond Chan Architect.

This construction project is one of five new buildings currently being built along Myrtle Avenue in Clinton Hill.  In addition, construction work is underway for the new Myrtle Avenue Plaza, which is slated to be complete in late 2016.  Find more details about these various construction projects here.
