Join your neighbors this Saturday, October 24th for the first ever Fort Greene Food Conference! Councilmember Letitia James has organized this community gathering, bringing residents, local leaders and experts together to address community concerns in relation to food access, and to build skills and momentum for more healthy and affordable food in the neighborhood.
The conference will take place at P.S. 67 at 51 Edwards St (btw Myrtle and Park). Registration begins at 12:30pm, and the opening addresses by Councilmember James and Yonnette Fleming, the coordinator of the Hattie Carthan Community Garden and Market, will commence at 1pm. The conference will end with a healthy BBQ celebration from 4pm-6pm.
All residents are welcome at this FREE conference and celebration.
