Position: Evening Coordinator, Atlantic Terminal
Supervisor: Assistant Program Director/Program Director

Overview: Since 1886, University Settlement has been providing a variety of effective and strengths-based community based programs for children. Currently, the Settlement operates after-school programs for elementary and middle school children at several sites in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

The Evening Coordinator will be responsible for all day-to-day evening and weekend operations at one of these sites. The program will provide academic support; artistic, cultural, and athletic enrichment; therapeutic services; and opportunities for family involvement. The position requires a creative, energetic, team-building leader committed to providing the highest quality of programming for children and families.

Responsibilities:
 On-site monitoring and coaching of direct service staff performance
 Manage all day-to-day evening and weekend operations of site
 Act as a primary liaison between cornerstone program and co-locator groups, and other external partners
 Maintain consistent communication with Assistant Program Director/Program Director about all programmatic issues
 Monitor daily manual attendance, input weekly attendance into DYCD Management Information Systems and Salesforce, and maintain filing of all manual attendance
 In conjunction with Assistant Program Director/Program Director, develop and select curricula appropriate for the developmental needs of respective program’s age cohorts
 In conjunction with Assistant Program Director/Program Director, develop and participate in high quality, relevant staff training
 Prepare monthly reports of program information and data and other reports as needed
 Ensure proper use of program facilities, and maintain effective communication with maintenance and security staff
 In conjunction with site leadership, maximize parent and family involvement in program through parent advisory board, family workshops and events, and volunteer recruitment
 Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualification:
 Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in related field a plus
 2-3 years administrative or supervisory experience in a youth or community-based program setting
 Experience designing and implementing innovative, hands-on activities that support social emotional learning and academic enrichment of the participants
 Strong interpersonal skills, problem solving ability, and crisis intervention skills
 Ability to communicate effectively in writing and in presentation formats
 Ability to work independently and as a member of a collaborative management team

Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday-Friday plus some Saturdays and Department of Education holidays possible

Salary: $18 per hour
