Fort Greene Affordable Housing Lottery Round Up

86 Fleet Place, at the corner of Myrtle Avenue, is accepting applications to fill affordable housing units while the building completes construction.

Several new affordable housing lotteries are now open in and around Fort Greene, and are accepting applications for low-to-moderate income residents. Here’s our round-up of 3 housing lotteries for newly constructed housing in the neighborhood.

86 Fleet Place

86 Fleet Place, at the corner of Myrtle Avenue & Fleet at the border of Downtown Brooklyn and Fort Greene, opens their lottery for 29 below-market rental units on Friday, January 27.

The 32-story tower has studios, 1-, 2-, and 3-bedrooms available from households earning between $30,446 and $63,060. Another 29 affordable units are available further down Myrtle Avenue in Clinton Hill at 504 Myrtle. This affordable housing lottery, which closes February 1st, is for studio, 1- and 2-bedroom apartments. 38 Sixth Avenue, near Barclays Center, in Prospect Heights.

Elsewhere in the neighborhood, an affordable housing lottery opened for 303 units at 38 Sixth Avenue near the Barclay’s Center. This housing, part of the Pacific Park development, is accepting applications until March 14.
