Come visit Myrtle Avenue for Make Music New York (MMNY). MMNY takes place each year on the summer solstice, June 21st, the longest day of the year. On that day, hundreds of public spaces throughout the five boroughs — sidewalks, parks, community gardens, and more — become impromptu stages for over 1,000 free concerts.
From 10AM to 8PM fifteen Myrtle Avenue area businesses, including restaurants, cafes, shops, wine boutiques and the Fort Greene Park (entrance at southeast corner of Washington Park & Myrtle Avenue) will be participating. Over 30 musicians will represent various music genres, including soul, Latin, R&B, folk, bluegrass, jazz, pop and neosoul. Come out and groove to the music and stroll the Avenue.
Make Music on Myrtle Avenue will take place at the following businesses and locations: Green in BKLYN, Brooklyn Sweet Spot, Gnarly Vines, Le Petit Bakery, Soco Restaurant, Energy Fuel, Corkscrew Wines, Tipsy, Il Porto Pizzeria and Ristorante, Brooklyn Public Library Walt Whitman Branch, Luz Restaurant, Mojito Cuban Cuisine, Buff Patty and Fort Greene Park.
