According to the Department of Design and Constrction (DDC), the reconstruction of Myrtle Avenue between Hall and Emerson will begin on 10/20/14, culminating in the creation of Myrtle Avenue Plaza in 12-18 months. Contractors have already started saw cutting the pavement in preparation to repair and/or replace the existing water main.
There will be water service interruptions during this initial work, possibly beginning as soon as 10/20/14. Impacted residents and businesses will be notified by the DDC Community Construction Liaison (CCL) Ronnell Madison. For construction-related questions, you may contact him at myrtleplazaccl@gmail.com or 718-857-3283.
