Shop Within 1/2 Mile of the Closing Key Food Supermarket in Clinton Hill

Multiple Town Halls have taken place to address the closing of the Key Food Supermarket at 325 Lafayette Avenue in Clinton Hill. In recent community conversations with Seniors, to help shape our Age-friendly Myrtle Avenue initiative, we learned that this closing brings anxiety and frustration to the many older adult residents who use this store as their main Supermarket.

In response, the Fort Greene & Clinton Hill Community Food Council met to discuss strategies that will encourage nearby retailers to utilize this closing as an opportunity for them to serve residents needs.

In addition, the below map has been created to use as a resource for alternative shopping locations within 1/2 mile of 325 Lafayette Avenue. Please note that many offer van transportation to seniors.
