For the next four months, the sidewalk between 490 and 504 Myrtle Avenue will be closed due to construction, creating a detour for some pedestrians. The sidewalk, which runs along the side of Key Food Supermarket, serves as a connection for many pedestrians coming to Myrtle Avenue from the Willoughby Walk Co-ops and Pratt Institute’s campus.
The sidewalk, which enters Myrtle Avenue at Ryerson Street, is closed due to construction at 504 Myrtle Avenue (site of the former Pratt Station Post Office), which is currently being redeveloped. The pedestrian walkway will return in a few months, after major construction activities are completed.
In the meantime, residents looking to access Myrtle Avenue from the south can either walk one block west to Hall Street or head east and enter Myrtle Avenue on the west side of Blick Art Supply store, at Grand Avenue.
