OSS#02 Gardening Workshop

The Outer Seed Shadowbox #2 (OSS#02) – a temporary art installation by artist Juanli Carrion – will host a community garden workshop.  Today’s workshop is open to the general public, for people 21 years or older.  10 spots are available and it’s first come, first serve.

OSS$02 is a geopolitical garden in the shape of Brooklyn that features 36 different plants chosen by immigrants living in the borough. Placed according to the interviewees’ physical locations within Brooklyn, the plants represent the immigrants, their communities, and the diversity of the borough. Participants will tend to the garden plants, learn about plant origins and care, and discuss how the installation addresses issues of immigration.
