Support Our Neighbors in the Fight for Food Security & Equitable Access | No One Should Go Hungry

At a time when so many in our city are facing food insecurity and uncertainty, our collective care and action matter more than ever. From emergency food programs and community pantries to local volunteer opportunities, these resources exist to help ensure no one in our neighborhoods goes hungry (while having access to food that meets their dietary, health, and cultural needs, regardless of income, location, or background.) Together, let’s show that Brooklyn’s strength lies in solidarity, compassion, and showing up for one another.

Ways to Help

🤝 Donate or Volunteer: Help alleviate the strain on our local food pantries by A) Making a monetary donation and/or B) Lending a hand and volunteering your time.

💚 Share Resources: Help spread the word to ensure every family knows where to turn for support. See below for a list of local organizations in Fort Greene & Clinton Hill along with food access and support resources shared courtesy of the Office of Council Member Crystal Hudson. The compiled list of local organizations and community partners are providing free meals, groceries, and pantry items to families in need.

One Community has seen a 38% increase in pantry attendance due to SNAP/EBT insecurity and rising grocery costs. Please help them stay on their feet in the fight for food equality, so that they can continue taking care of our neighbors and those in need.

With Thanksgiving around the corner, please consider making a donation today. Just $20 will give a family a beautiful Thanksgiving meal.

Donate here and Volunteer here.

Clinton Hill/Fort Greene Mutual Aid is a coalition of neighbors supporting neighbors. It runs the Groceries and Essentials Fund, which is one of NYC’s only mutual aid-based, direct cash assistance programs
