Keisha Farrell has got entrepreneurship oozing from her pores. Her first business endeavor, the popular Soketah Salon, has been located on Myrtle Avenue for more than a decade. The success of Soketah (learning customer needs) showed her that there is a huge desire for a one-stop beauty shop. Keisha's third business (she also owns a daycare center in Bed-Stuy) and latest venture w/business partners, Sonia Lashley, Kristal Thomas and Jamilla Martin is called Shic by Soketah (the 's' is for Soketah) and it is set to open during the first week in August. Shic will be a 1500sf beauty bar deluxe–where women can stop in for hair, nails, makeup and other beauty treatments.
Nail technicians interested in working at Shic should send emails to soketahh@yahoo.com or stop in with a statement of purpose and experience.
Shic is located at 564 Myrtle Avenue between Emerson and Classon (across the street from Soketah Salon). Please call Keisha or Sonia at Soketah Salon for additional information: 718.875.6845.
