New Program Manager position at MARP

Wed, Mar 31st, 2010

You may have noticed that, over the past few years, we've ramped up our involvement in local food access issues. We started organizing the Fort Greene CSA back in 2007, and have added programs like the Ingersoll Gardens and last October's Youthmarket to the growing list of local initiatives.

We're thrilled to announce that we've received funding through New York Community Trust and Atlantic Philanthropies to participate in the national Community Experience Partnership initiative, which aims to engage older adults as leaders in projects that improve local food systems. This funding will allow us to expand our food access programming, to continue to engage local residents in a dialogue about improving our food system … and to grow our staff! In fact, we've just posted an announcement for a new Program Manager for Food Access Initiatives on
idealist.org. Check it out, and spread the word.
