Bike Month on Myrtle Avenue

Fri, May 2nd, 2014

May is Bike Month and we are celebrating it here on Myrtle Avenue. We like to see our Brooklyn-based bikers healthy, active and exploring transportation alternatives.  Here is some bike business news & information for cyclists and for those interested in becoming active by bike…

Sustainable Architecture and Industry Bike Tour- Saturday May 3rd
Get a “handle” on sustainable architecture and industry on this bicycle tour of Yard. You’ll learn about many of the Yard’s green initiatives. Get an up-close look at the nation’s first green multi-story industrial building, see wind-and-solar-powered lamps built and installed at the Yard, and peer down into a 19th-century dry dock that is still in use today. Along the way, we will enjoy stunning waterfront views and learn how the Yard has been transformed from the world’s busiest shipyard into a center of green innovation.
