Panther Cubs is inspired by Ksisay Sadiki, daughter of Kamau Sadiki-current US held political prisoner. Ksisay is currently creating a documentary of the same name illustrating her story and the story of other children of members of the Black Liberation Movement. Kamau Sadiki, also the father of Kikuya Sadiki, the daughter of Assata Shakur is currently incarcerated for his failure to cooperate to bring Assat Shakur back from Cuba where she has been granted political refuge.
