Halloween at Fort Greene Park
The Fort Greene Park Conservancy & NYC Parks will be offering two weekends of Halloween fun! Together they will present the FREE annual Halloween Festival with free hay rides, games, sack races, face painting, stilt-walkers, a spooky movie night, and over 1,000 free pumpkins from a local farm to be given away and decorated. Other attractions include a costume parade, pop-up cemetery, and activities suitable for all ages.

The festival kicks off the weekend prior to Halloween with a wild costume contest for dogs and their owners, “The Great PUPkin,” sponsored by Fort Greene PUPS, the local dogowners organization. The contest will take place on the Park’s Hundred Steps leading up to the Prison Ship Martyrs Monument. The Film “Little Shop of Horrors” will also be shown outdoors on the Myrtle Avenue lawn.
