from GrowNYC Fort Greene Greenmarket Every Saturday!

The Myrtle Avenue Revitalization Project LDC (MARP) Healthy Communities’
“Community Corner” initiative will have programming for families on Saturdays from
July 23rd – October 22nd, 10am – 3pm.

At the Community Corner, participants can discover and taste healthy recipes, be
introduced to local farmers and their products, find affordable grocery options and
learn how to use EBT/SNAP, WIC/FMNP checks, and Health Bucks at the Fort Greene
Park Greenmarket. Each week, there will also be different family friendly events and
Community Chef Demonstrations where you can receive $2 -$4 in Health Bucks to use
at Greenmarket. Stop by to support the local greenmarket and learn how to shop fresh,
healthy, and locally on a budget! See you on the Corner!

Community Corner Special Events Schedule:

July 30th
Noon- 3pm: FREE Bike helmet fitting and giveaway, sponsored by MARP, DOT & Citibike
11am – 1pm: FREE Face painting

September 10th

Fit in the 35th Community Jamboree 12pm – 3pm
