We are excited to invite in support of our diverse community and the Black Lives Matter movement, Myrtle Avenue Partnership, and FOKUS stands together in a Street mural demonstration this upcoming
Saturday, July 25 from 9 am to 2 pm at Myrtle Avenue Plaza
The Myrtle Avenue Plaza has served over the past years as the stage for community events. We are a neighborhood that welcomes all to express themselves. We would like to invite people to come to fill the BLM street mural with sidewalk chalk while supporting the BLM movement.
About FOKUS: The mission of FOKUS is to use the arts to educate, empower, and unite communities.We primarily do our work through community-based events, arts education curriculum, and programming, publishing INSIGHT magazine. Our work in these three areas is designed to increase the public’s access to the arts. By increasing the public’s access to the arts, the importance and need of the arts are further realized and supported.
