Holiday Tree Lighting in Fort Greene Park

The community tree lighting event will feature FREE cookies and hot chocolate, live holiday music, a toy drive and Santa Claus! Enjoy all of these fun happenings from 5-6pm, and see the lighting of the tree at 5:30pm.
New, unwrapped toys will be collected and donated to neighborhood holiday toy drives held by Fort Greene SNAP and the Whitman Resident Association.
Holiday songs will be performed by the Dr. Susan McKinney Secondary School of the Arts choir.
Refreshments are being served from Pushkin Creperie & Bakery, Brooklyn Sweet Spot and Castro’s.
The event is presented by the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership and Fort Greene Park Conservancy.
Other co-presenters include: Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, State Senator Velmanette Montgomery, Assembly Member Joseph Lentol, Assembly Member Walter T. Mosley, City Council Member Laurie A. Cumbo, and District Leader Olanike Alabi.
