We’re throwing a family-friendly ‘Farewell Party’ for the Tomorrow sculpture, a symbol of future generations, before she journeys on to her next home.

When: Sunday, September 15 from 2-4pm
Where: Fort Greene Park (Myrtle and Washington Park)

Free, family-friendly activities include:
• Fruity Pop Workshop: Make healthy soda using farm-fresh fruit
• Postcards to Tomorrow: Using recycled cards, send an art-inspired message to tomorrow with SONYA (South of the Navy Yard Artists)
• Keepsake family Polaroids with the Tomorrow sculpture
• Facepainting
• Snacks with Myrtle Eats Fresh Community Chefs

The Tomorrow sculpture has been a well-loved community fixture for the past year, at times serving as host to events like the Sing for Hope pianos and the P.S. 20 jazz band during Make Music NY. The sculpture, created by artist Akihiro Ito, will be removed on September 19th after a year-long installation at the park.
