Gentleman Farmer Fort Greene located at 378 Myrtle Avenue between Adelphi and Clermont, chose a quiet opening this week, opening for dinner this past Monday night.
The much anticipated restaurant features a seasonal menu which marries French traditional and New World ingredients and has a special focus on game.
Gentleman Farmer Fort Greene is the sister restaurant to chef and owner Karim Nounouh’s other culinary location of the same name, Gentleman Farmer, which has been located on the Lower East Side since 2010.
Some of the restaurant’s menu items include: onion soup, curried snails, salmon tartar, foie gras torchon, beet salad, seared sea scallop, pheasant pate & foie gras (appetizers) and mushroom ravioli, red snapper, rack of lamb, seared codfish, venison steak, smoked duck breast and bison short ribs (entrees). Currently: the restaurant is open 7 days per week for dinner at 6pm and is BYOB. Expect lunch options within the next two weeks as well as beer and wine soon.
