James Choi, teacher at the Greene Hill School at 39 Adelphi Street between Park and Flushing shared the 2 pages above with us.

This past Fall, 7 year olds, through a class project, were charged with conducting a neighborhood study. Students participated in mapmaking, neighborhood walks and focused trips to various local places, including businesses, schools, parks, and residences.

The pics above are based on a visit to Myrtle Avenue. As per teacher, Mr. Choi, “As part of the study, students surveyed businesses along Myrtle Avenue between Carlton and Vanderbilt and made inferences and connections about the needs and wants of people of our local Fort Greene based on the data gathered.”
