Gnarly Vines held what they are calling a ‘Patriotic’ Rosé Tasting earlier this week, including 2015 rosés from Charles & Charles. Stop in this weekend to pick up a few bottles to compliment your barbeque.
Please stop in and pick up a bottle of Charles & Charles or any of the other currently available rosés of other wines, including:
2015 La Spinetta, Il Rose di Casanova – Tuscany, Italy – $19
The Spinetta rosé is a light, crisp, delicate Tuscan blend of 50% Sangiovese and 50% Prugnolo. It has elegant floral aromas and pomegranate, peach and sour cherry flavors. Ab-fab on its own or with an array of summer salads, fruit and cheese.
2015 Bonny Doon Vin Gris de Cigare Rose – California – $17.50
Made by the iconoclastic, pioneering winemaker, Randall Grahm, who has been practicing bidoynamic viticulture since 2004, this rose is a Rhone blend of predominantly Grenache with a hefty dose of Mourvedre and then a little Roussanne, Grenache Blanc and Cinsault. It’s refreshing enough for smoked trout but can also stand up to a killer BBQ.
2015 Charles & Charles Rose – Columbia Valley, WA – $14
A delicious blend of 61% Syrah, 12% Mourvedre, 10% Grenache 7% Cabernet Sauvignon 7% Cinsault, 3% Counoise with aromas of wild strawberry, cherry, subtle hibiscus and a touch of citrus with underlying dried herb, crushed gravel and mineral tones. And with a pink artist interpretation of the American flag, this is the most Patriotic rose ever… in a Gnarly, anti-Brexit, anti-Trump sort of way. Enjoy with close friends!
2015 Pannonhalmi Apatsagi Pinceszet Rose – Hungary – $14
Hungarian rose – why not? Apatsagi is 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. It has juicy flavors of strawberry and cherry with a hint of citrus fruit and good acidity. Perfect with a vegan ghoulash!
