With moderate supervision and some latitude for independent judgment, assist with the coordination of Pratt Shows: Fashion, Pratt Shows: Design dinner, Commencement, and other Development Events as needed. Start date: January 2020.

Position Duties

    • Manage RSVPs for Pratt Shows: Fashion and the cultivation event, including updating the Raiser’s Edge database and managing email and phone requests for information and tickets.
    • Assist with the mailing list for targeted Pratt Shows: Fashion invitations.
    • Liaise between Institutional Advancement and the Office of the Provost and Fashion Department to coordinate logistics as appropriate.
    • Coordinate with Creative Services on the creation and production of event materials.
    • Coordinate logistics with vendors (venue, caterer, florist, car service, etc.) for Pratt Shows: Fashion cultivation reception and Pratt Shows: Design dinner, including procuring cost estimates, tracking expenses, and processing invoices.
    • Assist with Platform Party logistics for Commencement including RSVPs and regalia.
    • Assist with other Development Events related tasks.
    • Must work on-site at 200 Willoughby Avenue at least 2-3 days per week and more when it gets closer to events.
    • Be prepared to work overtime hours the two weeks leading up to the Pratt Shows: Fashion, Pratt Shows: Design and Commencement.

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience: At least four years’ related experience in a higher education institution or not-for-profit fundraising event capacity.

Knowledge and Skills: Must have above average PC skills including the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Word, and Adobe suite. Raiser’s Edge experience ideal.


    • Strong organizational, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills required.
    • Must be able to keep calm, professional demeanor at all times, while under pressure and with attention to detail.
    • Must interact professionally and respectfully with internal and external contacts.
    • Must possess strong confidence in applying quick, smart, independent judgment, decision making, and problem-solving when necessary.
