Come to the Farm Stand this Wednesday, July 24th, and enjoy our Community Day events!

10AM- 2PM: Wonder if you qualify for Food Stamps or have questions about your benefits? Visit with a rep from the NYC Office of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Outreach Service and get your questions answered!

10AM- 2PM: Learn about the Greene Hill Food Co-op and how you can join!

10:30AM-12:30PM: Learn how to cook a healthy kid-friendly recipe using farm fresh ingredients with Myrtle Eats Fresh Community Chef Milinaire Davis.

11:30AM-1:30PM: FREE face painting with local artist Derick Cross!

Noon-2PM: Learn more about our local Fort Greene Strategic Neighborhood Action Partnership (SNAP) Community Center and the services available to you!

Noon-2PM: Learn more about Kids in the Crossfire and the support they provide to local youth and their families.

12:45PM-2:45PM: Watch Community Chef Darrell as he demonstrates proper and efficient knife skills while preparing an affordable, healthy farm fresh recipe.

The The Brooklyn Food Coalition will also be with us sharing the many ways they work with residents and community based organizations to create a just and sustainable food system for all of Brooklyn! Learn how you can become a member and join the movement!

The Myrtle Avenue Farm Stand is located on the NE corner of N.Portland and Myrtle Avenues 8AM – 3PM every Wednesday NOW – October!

We offer fresh, affordable produce, herb plants, and flowers from Nolasco Farm, New Jersey; Honey from Kutik’s Honey Farm Farm, NY; Maple Syrup from Poorfarm Farms, Vermont; Beth’s Farm Kitchen Jams, NY; Fruit Juices from Red Jacket Orchard, NY; and fresh baked bread from La Petite Bakery at 354 Myrtle Ave.
