Key Food Supermarket (formerly Associated) located at 490 Myrtle Avenue in Clinton Hill will officially re-open on October 9th at 7am.
The supermarket, between Ryerson and Hall will boast added store shelves, a salad bar, bakery and expanded meats section.
Opening day will be a soft launch to work out any kinks, with grand opening activities expected at a later date.
The store name change from Associated indicates a switch in distributors. Some Brooklyn Fare items will also be on store shelves.
The supermarket, which was closed for well over a year due to redevelopment of the site (going from a one story commercial building to a 6-story mixed used building with 93 residential units and added commercial units including TD Bank), has been much missed. With the recent closure of another local supermarket on Lafayette Avenue, many have been inquiring even more about the store’s return.
