Sandy has past and now it’s time to clean up and help out those in need. Word on the street is that our neighbors in Brooklyn Tech Shelter need the following items:
warm clothes – coats, sweaters, socks
hygiene products
games, cards, things for entertainment
blankets

The shelters in Fort Greene specifically are in need of Spanish speaking volunteers.

Brooklyn Tech High School, 29 Fort Greene Place

To volunteer city-wide you can visit NYCService.org. Their website states, “Please email nycservice@cityhall.nyc.gov with your name, email address, phone number and borough or call 311. There will be ways to volunteer today and over the next week as opportunities arise”.
