Luz restaurant at 177 Vanderbilt Avenue (just south of Myrtle) is now open for lunch! Added to the tantalizing daily dinner and Sunday brunch offerings are earlier lunch options.

Lunch is M-F, 11:30a to 3:30a and is extremely affordable with lunch dishes ranging from $6 to $13. Lunch includes mouthwatering selections such as chupe (a Peruvian shrimp chowder with saffron, shrimp stock, white wine, asparagus, corn, poached egg); palmito (a salad w/ hearts of palm, grilled mango, avocado, cherry tomatoes, red onions, ginger-orange vinaigrette) and lechon asado (slow roasted pork with sour orange mojo served with pigeon peas rice and sweet plantains). There is also the wildly popular combo meal– half chicken + $4.00 side + soft drink for $9.99. A variety of desserts and cocktails are also available.
