Myrtle Avenue Residents Safe After Fire

Wed, Feb 15th, 2017

A fire broke out Tuesday morning at 419 Myrtle Ave, home to the well established neighborhood restaurant, Putnam’s Pub and Cooker. While we are saddened by the damage, our hearts are encouraged by the warmth and immediate outpouring of love from neighbors and the merchant community. Thanks to the brave and swift work from the FDNY and NYPD the fire was contained and no one was seriously injured.

We’ve received word that Putnam’s plans to re-open as soon as possible. We’ll keep an ear out for opportunities for community involvement and post information as it becomes available. Thank you to to everyone showing their support, and thank you to our heroes at FDNY and NYPD.
