Since 2015, the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership has connected local families with free groceries by working with and supporting many community partners to host several weekly food pantries throughout Fort Greene.
Food Pantry Details
Who is Eligible?
Fort Greene & Clinton Hill residents who need assistance in having enough food for members of their household.
How to Register?
Simply show up at one of the pick-up pantry sites during their regular hours (listed below). Please be prepared to share your name, address, phone number, age and household size.
When can I pick up food?
We work to provide food, supplies and equipment, and volunteers to these local food pantries, operated with our partners:
Ingersoll & Whitman Houses Pantry
When: Every Saturday, 11am – 12:30pm
Where: Ingersoll Community Center, 177 Myrtle Avenue (corner of Prince St)
Farragut Houses Pantry
When: Every Saturday, 10:30am – 12:30pm
Where: Church of the Open Door, 201 Gold St (corner of Nassau St)
Atlantic Terminal Houses Pantry
When: Schedule varies
Note: This pantry is only available to residents of Atlantic Terminal Houses. To register, please contact the Atlantic Terminal Tenants Association.
Bishop Memorial Mission Pantry
When: Third Saturday of Every Month, 9:30am-11am
Where: Bishop Memorial Mission, 127 Emerson Pl (corner of Myrtle Ave)
Fort Greene Community Fridge
When: Open 24 hours a day
Where: In front of Farmer in the Deli, 357 Myrtle Ave (corner of Adelphi St)
Note: Community members can join us in donating good quality food to the fridge any time, for neighbors to pick-up. No registration is needed. For more information, please email the fridge team.
