Newton’s paintings offer more than just his love of depicting everyday objects.Newton’s focus on both foods combined with his treatment of atmospheric lighting creates an almost glamorizing of the mundane. In his subtleties, Newton has transformed his still life paintings from studies of light/subject to humorous social commentary.
