A blend from the Loire Valley made of 30% Chardonnay, 50% Melon de Bourgogne and 20% Sauvignon Blanc that definitely lives up to it’s name. Vibrant aromas of apples, peaches and melon follow through to the palate. The lovely round mouth feel and clean finish nicely compliment dishes featuring scallops, shrimp and mussels.
2013 Domaine de la Bastide Blanc ‘Figue’ – Cotes du Rhone, France – $14
One of our most-popular, crowd-pleasing whites, the Bastide ‘Figue’ is a medium-bodied blend of Viognier, Roussanne, and Bourboulenc with a silky texture, balanced acidity and delicious peach and nectarine flavors. One of the few whites that appeals to Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc and even some Riesling lovers. Pair with simple, fresh water fish or leek tart.
