The Halal Spot, a new eatery located at 474 Myrtle Avenue between Washington Avenue and Hall Street, soft opened this past weekend.
The restaurant features dishes such as lamb with choice of yellow, brown or green (spinach mixed) rice, chicken with the same rice options, a choice of lamb or chicken gyro, a range of burgers from zinger (spicy), beef, Alaskan salmon or veggie, wings, fries and mozzarella sticks.
When you read the menu, you are going to swear you’ve tasted it before — but you’ll be wrong. It’s not only delicious but it’s made more nutritiously — wild salmon, grass fed beef and all natural hormone free chicken. And every combo meal of rice with meat, fish or poultry is served along with a side salad and your choice of any sauce, including white sauce (light garlic) or barbeque.
The restaurant is a family affair, owned by a set of brothers (Mike and Harris) and their cousin John (Ahmad).
“We soft opened on purpose to work out all of the kinks,” shared Harris. “One thing that’s very important to us is customer service, It’s dying art that we’ve revived,” he shared.
Stop in and enjoy The Halal Spot. It’s delicious, fast and affordable with lunch dishes averaging $8.
