We sat down with local Black community members to discuss Black History Month. Their personal reflections and experiences have been excerpted and featured as quotes that can be viewed below. Starting Thursday, February 15, we encourage you to see these large-scale posters exhibited along the fences in front of the Ingersoll and Whitman Houses from Fleet Pl. to Washington Park.

We interviewed many of the entrepreneurs and employees that make up the more than 25 Black-owned businesses on Myrtle Avenue in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill to find out what Black History Month means to them.
