Since 2003, MARP has successfully implemented multiple community food access and nutrition programs that educate and advocate for expanded healthy food options, especially for low-income residents of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill, via innovative projects. Our newest program, Farm Fresh Box, brings affordable, locally-sourced produce in pre-packed food shares to local residents at a significantly reduced price.
MARP has partnered with Corbin Hill Food Project to bring affordable, quality food options to Fort Greene and Clinton Hill. Through this first farm share partnership in Brooklyn called Community Connect, MARP is able to offer Farm Fresh Boxes at $10/$12 each with support from the USDA Community Food Project program. Each share will include five to six items, which could include: farm fresh fruit, locally made tortillas, locally grown beans, fresh greens and other seasonal staple items.
All local residents can sign up for a $10/$12 Farm Fresh Box. Each share will include five to six items, which could include: farm fresh fruit, locally made tortillas, locally grown beans, fresh greens and other seasonal staple items.
